Sorry I’ve not been posting much. I will try and get my word on a little more frequently in the weeks to come.
For now, let it suffice that I am Queen of Ferelden…
Also, just out of interest – for those who live in a cul-de-sac or other sort of housing estate – do you mind if other people park in front of your house? I shifted S-’s car so that I could get mine out and left it in front of my neighbour’s garden. I got told off for it this morning because apparently her sister thought the fact that it was there meant that they had guests and left again. It all seems a little… Stepford to me.

I had to read this six times before I understood what the sister had done. Being chronically nosy I`m afraid I`d have gone in to see who was visiting my sister. Without knowing your neighbour`s age I was going to suggest it`s maybe a generation thing – then I remembered how old I am!
Yes, previous commenter, but believe you are what is referred to as a statistical anomaly.
I think it’s a small minded thing. Maybe that ties in with generations, maybe not, or at least doesn’t have to. Bet your neighbour really cares if her sofa matches her underwear as well. Or something like that. And considers ‘may you have an interesting life’ to actually be a curse.
I think they’ve been living here since the houses were built… I get the impression they feel a sort of ‘ownership’ regarding our little road. Ah Suburbia….
